Dress for bold elegance! The evening will feel like a classic, swanky Southern soirée. Guests are encouraged to wear elevated cocktail or semi-formal attire that feels expressive and celebratory. Kindly note the color guidelines below when selecting your attire.

Are there any color restrictions?

Yes — we ask guests to avoid wearing black or white and instead delight in the beautiful spectrum of colors and textures!

What type of attire is appropriate for women?

Women are encouraged to wear elevated cocktail dresses or semi-formal gowns that feel expressive, elegant, and celebratory. Embrace beautiful colors, textures, and silhouettes that feel festive for a swanky Southern evening. Think silks, satins, florals, jewel tones, pastels, and statement textures—anything that feels festive and elegant. We kindly ask guests to avoid black or white attire and instead enjoy the vibrant spectrum of colors.

The ceremony and reception will both take place indoors at First Presbyterian Church of Macon and Terminal Station. A trolley service will be available to transport guests between the two venues.

Should I bring a jacket or wrap for the evening?

Late April evenings in Macon can cool off after sunset, and guests will spend brief moments outdoors while arriving, departing, or enjoying transportation between venues. As the saying goes, "it’s not too hot, not too cold — all you need is a light jacket." A light jacket, shawl, or wrap may come in handy. And it always helps to be prepared for rain!

Are there any cultural or venue-specific attire guidelines we should know about?

Our ceremony will take place in a historic, traditional church, so we encourage guests to choose attire that feels elegant and respectful of the setting while still celebrating the expressive spirit of the evening. Guests should also note our color guidelines and avoid wearing black or white.
